	Welcome to the Chinese Healing Arts Center website! The Chinese Healing Arts Center, founded by Grandmaster T.K. Shih, OMD and his wife, De Ying Huang, OMD, has grown since its birth in the early 1980's. Initially a small center in a neighborhood in Kingston, New York, the center has grown to include offices in Danbury, CT, as well as the original center in Kingston, with daughters Melanie Shih, OMD, and Taiji Master Wendy Shih assuming their roles as sixth generation healers for the family, and carrying forth their family traditions of the classical healing arts and traditional medicines of China. Six Generations of Tradition \| 5,000 Years of Wisdom The Shih family tradition of healing goes back six generations, with roots in the classical tradition of healing with energy, qi gong. In modern times with science beginning to understand Chinese medicine, and an ever evolving integration of traditional medicines into western health care, the Chinese Healing Arts Center continues to offer care that is holistic, personal and tailored to your own unique life. For more than 5,000 years, Chinese medicine has always been a part of natural life. We proudly preserve these roots, and invite you to share in the time-honored traditions of healing, in the clinic and in our classes, for a happier, healthier, and balanced life. Personal Healing & Professional Training Our centers offer complete clinical care in Chinese medicine, including acupuncture and moxabustion, herbal medicine of China, qi gong healing and instruction, tui na, and instruction in Tai Chi and Qi Gong. We also offer a unique, traditional, qigong therapy training program with certification, as well as classes for qigong self healing and practice, yearly and seasonal qigong seminars, and more!
